Former President of Section Ireland, Joe Lynch has been a member of IPA since 1975 and has been actively involved in the Association since 1978.  In 1985, Joe was elected to the position of Supplies Secretary on the National Executive Committee.  In 1994, he became 1st Vice President of the Section and served as President of this Section from 2000 - 2006.

In keeping with the Rules of the Section, he stood down from position of National President at the end of his second term of Office at the National Congress in Carragaline, Co Cork on 29th April 2006. 

Joe Lynch served on the International Internal Commission, 2000 - 2003 under the chairmanship of the then Assistant International Secretary General, John Waumsley.  He served on the International Cultural Commission 2003 - 2006 under the chairmanship of the then 3rd International Vice President S. J. J. Smit. 

Joe has many years experience in the area of publishing within the International Police Association in this Section.
