 The position of Social Secretary was in the hands of Denis Dunne who held the position following his election to the National Executive Committee at National Council in Galway in 1991. He held that portfolio until National Congress 2006 in Carraigaline, Co. Cork where he was elected to the position of Vice President on 29th April 2006. 

Denis now takes on the mantle of Chairperson of the Social Commission with the wealth of experience gained, it is now a pleasure for Denis to extend the role of the Social Commission in Section Ireland.
Under this Commission, the following facilities are available within Section Ireland:-

• Housing - Dave McEllin

• Social - Donal Sweeney

• Travel - Declan O'Byrne

• Youth Exchange - Eugene Mullany

Denis is available for consultation on any of the above.
